A new Wastewater Treatment Plant is a pre-engineered steel building sitting on a pile to bedrock foundation. This Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) type plant uses a sludge activated process for the treatment of wastewater where separate pre-treatment tanks are used to mechanically hold back solids and a biological aeration system/settling tank. The scope of the 971 m2 plant consisted of the construction of a new sludge disposal site; decommissioning of the old wastewater treatment facility and replacement of select sewer mains.
