Wasaho Cree Nation School, Fort Severn, Ontario

Design-built, 1,765 m² school was a pre-engineered steel building on an insulated concrete footing and beam foundation. Energy efficient wall and roof systems were incorporated into the school along with the brick and metal siding and a mod-bit roof.

This project also involved extensive sewer & water installations, upgrades to the water treatment plant, one triplex teacherage unit, hockey rink, and detailed landscaping.

Some of the challenges on this project were the remediation of the school site prior to building, harsh weather conditions, extreme distance of winter roads.
